This picture was taken of the five Kennedys while we were living in Puerto Rico. My little brother who was born there (shown being held by my mother) turned out to look like Ricky Martin. What do you call that? Ah yes... Ironic. I would have loved to play the part of Charlie Bucket in "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory". And I would have taken the six picture deal, instead of walking away from pictures to raise cattle in upstate New York (like the guy who actually played the role)
Cheer up Andrew!!I became a Dallas Cowboys fan while living in Hong Kong in 1978. Very strange that a port off the coast of China would turn out such an ardent fan of anything 'American'. The complete uniform was made less than a mile from where we lived. I met the nice Cantonese man who ironed on the number "33".Life in Puerto Rico as such "White Boys" was a bit difficult for the family. To blend in more my mother gave all of us afros. This of course killed our chances to make it into the boy band "Menudo" but my neighbor Ricardo Martin made out pretty well...
I should have been a dancer! Here I am with my little brother Lawrence at a Halloween party when I was young and didn't know any better. I figure I better publish this now, before I get rich and famous I joined the National Guard when I was seventeen to become more popular in school. It Didn't work. When I came back from basic training to attend my senior year of high school, I was officially the biggest looser in New Canaan. It paid for college though, and I got to throw grenades once a month...I 'walked' onto the soccer team at Southern Connecticut State University in 1988. That year the team made it to the "Final Four" in division II soccer. I practiced but never actually played a game (they were really good... No, really...). I was the back-up to the back-up 'keeper'... I was RUDY...I played the role of a de-frocked minister in the De Wolfe Brothers film "Love and Chaos" It was shot at the church the brothers father was actually the head guy in (while he was away on sabatical). It was probably the most sacriligeous two weeks of my life....
